In Denmark, Horseracing is the sixth largest sporting event in terms of average spectators, and is still growing every year in attendance and support. 4 racecourses host some fifty races in Denmark. Betting on those races bring about €800,000.

Foals production in Denmark is rather constant, and around half of the 120 foals born each year are sold at public auction during the Scandinavian Open Yearling Sales.
