Finland is a trotting nation, which plays a major role in harness racing. Although no flat or jumping races take place in the Finnish racecourses, a Stud Book exists for Thoroughbreds and some aficionados breed horses in Finland to be sold and to compete in other European countries. They are therefore all the more concerned by European issues.
