EFTBA 2021 AGM

On Tuesday 23rd November as the latest edition of its veterinary e-newsletter was published, EFTBA (European Federation of Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association) held its 2021 AGM at The Jockey Club Rooms, Newmarket.

 

The AGM, which took the format of a hybrid meeting  saw see many of European breeding nations come together to discuss and  hopefully  identify solutions for the many challenges and threats currently facing European thoroughbred breeders.

 

Commenting in advance of the AGM, EFTBA Chairman Joe Hernon said the federation is committed to delivering for thoroughbred breeders right across Europe. EFTBA was established in 1994 to provide a single place for breeders to formulate common policies and seek harmonizing breeding practices and production conditions. The federation represents over 23,000 breeders, who in turn sustains over 150,000 jobs in the European breeding and racing industry”

 

Following a productive AGM meeting Chairman Joe Hernon made a special presentation to Dr. Hanspeter Meier’s in adance of his retirement from the federation and his wife Anna Katharina who supported him
