Irish Equine Centre and French Labeo Twinning Collaboration

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Irish Equine Centre (IEC) and LABÉO Launch “Live My Life” – A New Irish-French Laboratory Exchange Programme
IEC (Ireland) and LABÉO (France) are proud to announce the launch of “Live My Life”, a pioneering laboratory exchange programme that will strengthen ties between the two organisations and enhance veterinary diagnostics and research across Europe.
The programme will enable staff from both laboratories to immerse themselves in the daily operations of their partner lab, fostering collaboration, innovation, and cross-border knowledge-sharing.
“This initiative exemplifies the power of European partnerships in advancing animal health,” said Debbie Grey, CEO IEC. “By working together, we can not only enhance our diagnostic capabilities but also contribute to stronger surveillance of equine health in both regions.”
“Live My Life represents our joint commitment to scientific excellence and cultural exchange,” added Guillaume Fortier CEO LABÉO. “It will bring long-term benefits to both our teams and the wider veterinary and scientific community.”
The programme comes at a pivotal time as Ireland and France seek to reinforce their EU collaboration in the wake of Brexit and proposed changes in equine transport regulations. The exchange will run annually, with opportunities for staff at all levels to participate.
